The good: fab views from rooms at back. Quiet hotel, The price. Covered parking a short walk away.The less good: Shabby, poorly maintained - vile bedlinen and towels- no breakfast possible.. With a bit of a facelift this could work , but as it stands it's barely adequate and I wouldn't go there again.

We stayed with a group of people at this hotel as part of a wedding celebration and reunion/tour of Spain.
The rooms were clean, and some of them had fantastic views over the river (see photos). Other rooms (one of the triples) was below ground and didn't have a window.

We have just returned from 7 nights staying at this delightful hostal. We stayed in room 42 on the 3rd floor which has a balcony. Room 41 also has a balcony and twin beds(ours was a double), Rooms 32 and 31 would also share the same fantastic view over the River Tajo but without a balcony.

The two best things about the Hostal Descalzos are the swimming pool and the view.
