I recently stayed two nights. Was booked in another B&B but they underwent renovations therefore the owner rebooked me here at Goya, I got the single room which size wise, it is very tiny and basic, but adequate and comfortable if you are not going to be in your room much. The single room came with a sink while the... More

Fantastic location beside most of the sights. Three min walk to aerobus stop. Good recommendations from friendly hotel staff for restraunts and sightseeing. This hostal is a cross between a youth hostal and small boutique hotel. Rooms are nicely furnished but basic and has common areas with couches, televisions. Perfect base for a short stay in Barcelona.

I stayed in this hostel one night with my boyfriend, and one night by myself. It is in a very convenient location; easy walk to the metro and airport shuttle bus stop, even with rolling luggage. Also an easy walk to the Rambla, Old City, Barcelona City Museum, lots of department stores, shopping and restaurants. It is very safe; the... More

We were this downtown hotel in 07/2011 positive points : - The location of the hotel : full central, and close to main metro station - The design of the room was very modern and original, especially the bathroom negative points : - The room in which we were was quite small, the bed and the wall were separated by... I just stayed 2 nights in Barcelona in this hostal, after I had a weekend with the family in an apartment, and I can definitely recommend it. The room was good, newly renovated and the bathroom small but sufficient and all very clean . for the price , definitely worth, and considering the location, absolutely perfect Unfortunately had the window... We loved our all too brief stay at this hotel. We chose to stay in a balcony room which was very spacious, well laid out, with lovely decor and spotlessly clean. The only downside to this room was noise. Not from the street it didn't worry us at all on one of the night we had noisey neighbours ( but... More

i stayed in Goya in Jan 2012 for 3 days. It was a big surprise to have a room with private bathroom for 50 euro a night after trekking thru Europe most of Dec and Jan. it was newly renovated with a large living room with coffee machine and TV and free computer use. The location is great, near Gothic... More

We hate to be critical of the hotel. Although it was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff excellent, and the location fantastic, we would not stay again. The room was so small we felt claustrophobic, with two single beds lined up in a row. The walls were paper thin and we were woken up one night at 11pm... More

Conveniently located close to the busy Plaza Catalunya, once inside Hostal Goya is very quiet. Our room, though small, was exceptionally well refurbished, very clean and comfortable. We were able to spread out in the common sitting area where the Internet was available. Staff members were all extremely helpful and obliging. They suggested places to eat (and yes, Tapas 24... More

as has been said elsewhere, it's a great location and the rooms are very clean - the bathrooms are superb. the problems are, there's no individual safes either in the room or downstairs. i've stayed in really cheap digs which have still had these and i can't understand why they don't have them here. they have a safe (i think,...
