We stayed for four nights and found the place very central for places to visit. We walked up from the station and found it no bother. The hostal is on the third floor and there is a lift up. You can not get breakfast here, but there are lots of places nearby to try. The room has a safe, shutters... More

I have stayed twice at Hostal Sardinero as it is very good value for your money. The location could not be better, only a 15 minute walk to Museo del Prado and Reina Sofia and Atocha train station. The Hostal is also surrounded by nice bars and restaurants so you are never too far away from a nice tapa! The... More

Well located, quiet and very clean. This helpful economical hostel was an excellent choice for visiting Madrid galleries and restaurants. Yes it uphill from atocha station but who would want to stay around the station and it is close to metro. We had a different experience to Angrod Telrunya.

Me and my wife stayed here for 5 nights. Centrally located, clean, decent, good room size. The owner is helpful and tried to make our stay as good as possible. The room is cleaned everyday. Great value for the money. I do recommend it!

Stayed here one year ago. Had a really nice experience. The location was great, next to a metro. The rooms are very very clean and cheap. The owner was also really nice. I would definitely stay here again!

This is probably one of the last 'Hostals' you would want to visit. The reviews here are either doctored or the reviewers aren't particularly bright. First, there is the matter of value for money. For 65 euros a night this B&B is terribly inadequate. No toiletries are provided and the rooms are not particularly big. Rooms are also poorly lit... More

A small hotel, no frills, but very clean with comfortable beds. A very central position, within walking distance of all the sights in the city. We had a wonderful stay. Jimmy the owner was a fantastic host. so welcoming, friendly and helpful, with advice on the best attractions, the best restaurants, bus times for the airport, even teaching a little bit... More

The Prado was the focus of our visit to Madrid and while we were there we just kept congratulating ourselves for finding a hotel so perfectly situated for walking to the museums as well as to Plazas Mayor and Puerta Del Sol where there is all the Spanish atmosphere and music anyone could hope for. We were coincidentally there during... More

We arrived into Madrid early in the morning after 36 hours of travel. The owner let us leave our bags in the lobby until check in. He wasn't very friendly at first but warmed up later on. The hostel was well located, a few minutes walk to Puerta del Sol. Lots of good places to eat and shopping nearby. It... More
