Would need a full renovation . Not an easy job to do, being this an historic - protected building Our room had certainly a better look in the past. Gloomy fitness room . Helpful and nice staff worked hard to balance our bad impression by the, generally, poor facilities ( for a five star grand luxe hotel ).

Stayed here for a weekend getaway in Madrid. Location is great, service is great. Had fun people watching in the bar. Was a bit surprised when we got the bill for our late lunch, the Diet Cokes we ordered were a hefty 12 euros each. Seems excessive! But otherwise a very nice stay.

Would recommend to anyone, great old-fashioned hotel, great service, comfortable rooms and an unbeatable location..steps from the major museums. Our second visit and we love it. We had a doom facing an inner courtyard area and it was very quiet despite the hotel's central location.

Very convenient location, all staff well trained knowledgeable and polite. Good quality furnishings everywhere. Wifi acceptable speeds and free everywhere. Particularly enjoyed the Sunday brunch. No tea/coffee facilities in the room

We stayed here in May for 3 nights and loved it! The location could not have been much better and the hotel itself was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was awesome but would only recommend if included with the room.
