This hotel is a great value for your money! The location next to La Puerta del Sol is ideal! Steps away from both Metro and connection to Renfe. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the guest service was exquisite! Hotel rates are incredible for the quality and location! Our room had a view to La Puerta del Sol making it... More

Great location next to the metro. Easy to take to and from the airport (requires 2 transfers); main train station, and bull ring. Easy walk to all attractions. Lots of great places to eat and drink close by. The room itself is pretty bare with a nicer than expected bathroom. Bed was fine but again no frills. You likely will... More

This is an unbeatable location! As soon as you get out of the metro at Sol, the hotel is there! The rooms were spacious, including the bathroom. We had a balcony room (i recommend requesting one) which was great to watch the action on the Porta del Sol. We thought our room would be noisy given we faced directly out... More

We stayed here 2 nights in April and it was the perfect spot to begin our trip in Spain. We followed their perfect directions to arrive at the hotel on the metro. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the street which proved to be a little noisy, but it wasn't too bad and... More

So much good about this hotel...take the subway from the airport, and you are steps away from the hotel door on the Plaza. Terrace room overlooking the Plaza with generous bathroom was well appointed and comfortable. Loved the hotel cafe for morning (or anytime) cafe con leche. Central location means you can get anywhere in Madrid from here. Staff was... More

We stayed 3 nights. Excellent location for touring and a great hotel. Easy access to Metro; easy walking to major sights; easy walking to lots of shopping and dining. The Paseo every evening was great! Our room was nicely appointed, very clean and in excellent condition. Very good room for a smaller European hotel. No problem with street noise even... More

I traveled solo to Madrid, this was a perfect location. My room was nice, not old as some reviews state. The staff were helpful and kind. The restaurant was fine. My lack of Spanish skills made ordering meals an adventure, but I found the wait staff patient and helpful.

Just back from 5 days in Madrid staying in the Hotel Europa. The hotel location could not have been better as it was so central to all places of interest and of course shopping! Everywhere was within walking distance which meant that we could admire the wonderful architecture of Madrid while strolling around. The staff were pleasant and courteous, greeting... More

Chose to stay in the center of Madrid and it was agood choice. Close to public transportation and Hop On- Hop Off busses. Room was typical small european but clean and quiet as we overlooked the main square. Took a shuttle from the airport with 4 other people fo 22 euros. This is an older hotel but served our purposes... More

Our room overlooked the Puerto del Sol. Thankfully the windows were of good quality! The hotel staff are friendly and helpful (not the restaurant staff). We would not recommend the restaurant at all...they seem to cater primarily to the locals at breakfast time. The room was spartan, clean and 1950's.No extras. Basic bed, closet, desk and tv. However, the location was... More
