My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in July 2011 and we enjoyed the stay. It is right near almost everything in Madrid and all was within walking distance. The Gran Via Metro station was just a short walk away and we used it to go to/from the airport. The management was very nice and helpful and spoke... More

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. I believe the family lives up stairs so they are always around, which is nice if you have to check out early or come in late. But I didn't think they were the easiest to work with because they weren't at the front desk a lot and I felt bad having... More

I have been staying regularly for at least 10 years now. Its a very friendly, clean budget hostel. Located in a prime position for visiting Madrid. Highly recommended

I stayed here for 3 nights (March 29th to April 1st) and thought it was a super place. My room (a single) was small but very clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was fantastic: right around the corner from the metro (Gran Via). The staff was very kind and generous. Do note however that they are only there during certain... More

Tucked in an ally just near the Gran Via, this hostal is a) safe, b)affordable, and c) warm in the winter. It is also d) tiny, e) thin walled, and f) has problems with taking VISA. All in all my experience here was par for what the cost was. I didn’t really like the thin walls, but I think my... More

There were three of us so we had a twin room and a double room. We just showed up and were lucky enough to have the last two rooms available. We were very glad since the hostals on the plaza de carmen down the block were all booked up. It is true that you have to walk by the dozen... More

I had to travel to Madrid as my job requires me to travel a lot, so I'm used to search for cheap and centric hostels. In this case, I was lucky to find such a nice place in the historical centre of Madrid, at a great price! The room was pretty clean and had a LCD TV, a/c and fridge,... More

We just turned up and asked for a room and we found the owners very friendly and helpful - would definitely stay there again. The hostal is on a side street which might seem a bit scary at first but it's right near the end of the street which comes off the red light area and there were always loads... More

A family run hostal, it felt like we had our own apartment, we were given keys to the room and outside doors so we could come and go as we pleased. We took the shared bathroom which was okay, the shower is a little small by north american standards however. The room had a nice balcony, a small fridge and... More
