The beds were so hard they felt like cement slabs. We stayed in the family room. The ladder was unsafe getting to the top bunk. The shower was so small that my son, who is very thin, could barely move in it. The glass walls around the bathroom didn't allow for any privacy. The hotel staff was not friendly or... more

Some will find this location perfect, but it is too close to Gran Via, and so very noisy. Rooms are small and already decrepit. Some nice additional services. more

We were moved here from another High Tech hotel we had booked, since that one had no electricity. Thus not a good start. The whole reception and breakfast area stinks of cheap toilet perfume, since the smell from a downstairs toilet floats upstairs - doesn't add to the ambiance. The bathroom was really tatty. The paint on the sink surround... more

For leisure or business is great, the excellent location and modern rooms are the high points of this hotel. Just 2 points to getting better, increase or even build one big room to offer the breakfasts and where people can talk; the other point, would be great to offer a razor in rooms, because the modern travels just bring hand... more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from 8/8/09 after staying in its sister hotel, Petit Palace @ Calle Postas a week prior. I was very happy with the latter, but not this one. I was given room 506, one of the tinniest rooms in the hotel. The bath room took up half of the floor space and it... more

- Can't beat the location to all the stores and sights - Madrid Vision bus was a great deal for a family that can't walk much - Avoid the breakfast - low cost, but you'll get what you pay for - Starbucks and Dunkin donuts nearby - No pool, no big lobby. . .don't need it and don't want to... more

After doing a lot of research on hotels in Madrid and after reviewing trip advisor reviews for this hotel, we decided to book it online and ended up staying for three nights. The hotel is situated in an ideal location in Madrid, right at the city center within walking distance to great shopping, a plethora of cafes and tapas bars,... more

I was planed to a 3 nights stay at the hotel. When we arrived I realized that it is far from my expectations. The hotel is very good located, but not more than that. There is no lobby if you want to seat downstairs and drink something. After we went up to the room we decided to leave on next day, the room... more

Just arrived back from a 3 day break in Madrid, celebrating my sister's 40th birthday. I booked to stay at the High Tech Gran Avenida because of location and its price! We were very happy with our choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was perfect and although just off one of the main streets it was quiet.... more
