This is an average hotel (3 stars) but the room was very clean and confortable. They provide free Wi-Fi and LCD TV. Dispite the triple room is a bit small, the beds are very confortable, the room was clean, the bathroom is big and weel equiped. We went to a meeting and the room was just to sleep there, so... More

Although I was not impressed in any way by this hotel it did offer some advantages and was comfortable plus the reception was excellent. Arriving in Madrid late evening we wanted a hotel in the central area close to restaurants and clubs. No question that this hotel fits that bill perfectly. Secondly, being central it was important not to have... More

This little hotel is very well located and the bedroom is nicely designed... having said that, this is like sharing the room with the street and the next bedrooms. Its very noisy and quite expensive in regards to the poor quality of the hotel. The reception looks very poor even if the stuff was friendly. will not recommend it! More

Very good located modern hotel with free wifi. Breakfast is very good. You have free laptop in the room, alarm clock with charger for iPhone, white LCD Tv. The design is very modern. I book this hotel next time again. More

Initially, we were upgraded to a superior room. We appreciated this, but found the room unbearable, due to street noise. The double glazing evidently does not work well. We ended up in a standard room, which was quieter, apart from the noisy air conditioning roaring away. The room was not clean. There was dust and grime in corners. We had... More

Just before this we stayed in two very nice 2 star hotels that we MUCH cheaper & outshined this place. One of them was only a few blocks away but was about $60/night cheaper. Pros: The reception people were nice and helpful and most of them spoke a little English. Free internet usage at computers in lobby. Central location. A/C... More

Petit Palace Puerta Del Sol is a typical central city hotel. Well located, standard rooms, good breakfast and competitive prices. It was clean and modern, while the staff were helpful when we asked for some local information. We read reviews about street noise, but didn't find that it bothered us when sleeping. Why though, does a hotel install see- through... More

Even though the hotel is very well situated, the room is very small, the beds are very hard, and the bathroom/shower extremely uncomfortable. The shower was very small and showering was an ordeal as everything got wet due the poorly constructed shower. At night the noise was sometimes unbearable. The staff was helpful and friendly, but the hotel is far... More

We stayed here at the start of our Spain tour and were disappointed by the hotel. We had booked it based on the recommendations on trip advisor and the lonely planet guide. The hotel was in a great location close to all the major tourist activities and the staff at the front desk were excellent. It ended there! The hotel... More

I had a room on the 5th floor and the noise from the road was unbelievable, non-stop, 24/24. Reception staff not helpful. Despite having asked from the night before if We could have left our small luggages in reception after check-out (our flight was later in the day) , the following day the guy at reception said "sorry, we run... Good morning, we are sorry for your unlucky host in our Petit Palace Puerta del Sol. We always have a lot of work and maybe, that time, our staff would be overbusy.
