We stayed 4 nights as 4 persons family. Room was clean, warm, quiet and with laptop. Wifi is free but with very low speed. Laptop in the room has unix operating system which is not usefull for majority. Breakfast was terrible. Very low species and all delicatessen was pork products as cheapest. I booked with breakfast and we had only... More

The hotel is located on the main the hub of Madrid. You’re so close to Plaza Mayor & Puerta Del Sol which gives you plenty of options to go anywhere by walking or public transportation. GREAT LOCATION!!! The façade of the hotel is very nice. My room (415) is decent. I don’t complain much about the room size. Small rooms... More

Nice hotel in a great location but I'm in a triple room where the ceiling is sloping so low that we are in danger of banging heads and breaking necks. More

I decided to stay at the Posada del Peine as the location could not be better and it has so much history.I was not wrong, what a great feeling to open the door of the Hotel and see the Plaza Mayor. We were given a terrible room in the Attic, black ceiling, very claustrophobic and difficult to move around. The... More

we paid 200 euro per night for family room x4 without breakfast(408) Location fantastic. Attic room with black ceiling -no natural light/ no view and low artificial light. No space to move upright. Had to ask for extra covers on beds. Shower good, but flooded all bathroom. Towels not very clean. Tiny reception area. Free laptop + wifi but very... More

Our room (412) had some issues: it is under the roof and every time we walked to the bathroom or closet we had to do gymnastics as there simply is not enough room to walk. Second issue: they seem to save too much on energy and it is extremely dark in the corridors which makes it almost impossible to open... More

We stayed here at the end of july for 2 days. It is really close to the centrum. Basically the location is as good as it gets because in a couple of minutes you can reach plaza del major and puerta del sol. The thing I liked best about the hotel was that the design. It is so futuristic it... More

We had been booked into a hotel for four nights by our tour company to stay a bit longer in Madrid after a two week tour of France and Spain. Suffice to say it was the worst hotel we had ever stayed and after one night we desperately needed to find a new, more comfortable hotel. The Manager on duty... More

Beautifully situated just off Plaza Mayor. Bit of a job getting large suitcases to the door as the taxi had to park down the road and we had to drag them along the cobbled streets. No way is this a 4 star hotel!!! The bathroom is a perspex box taking up a lot of space in the room, it has... More

The Posada del Peine is among a chain of "high tech hotels" in Madrid. As we wandered around town I observed at least two others. I am not sure what makes them "high tech"? There is a laptop in each room which is included in the room price. There is also free wifi available. The old Dell was somewhat useful... More
