You can rent a small piece of Sorrento history. One of the few houses in Sorrento directly on the sea. Casa Gilda Charming House is situated in Sorrento's most picturesque corner, Marina Grande. It's located right on the sea. It has private entrance and 2 floor:-1st. Floor - living with 2 double sofa-beds for 4 people and open plan kitchen and 1 full bathroom with shower box, windows overlooking the sea, and stairs to 2nd floor. Air conditioned. First floor is about 40 sq mt.-2nd. Floor - One double bedroom - and one full bathroom with shower box, exit to the terrace sea view. Air conditioned. The 2nd floor is about 40 sq mt, it is a pitched roof (attic), the height of the roof in two corners is about 1,30 m. The house has: hot & cool air conditioning, TV with International channels, outside shower, baby cot, hair dryer. The house is suitable for up to 6 people. Car not needed. The property can be easily reached by bus, train or car and there is a parking. It is a short walk down to the beach at Marina Grande where there are several excellent restaurants, boat rental services and a scuba diving centre. The bus stops which conned to Amalfi, Ravello, Salerno, Sorrento and Positano is a short walk from the property. From Sorrento and Positano there is boat service to Capri and Ischia. From Sorrento there is train service to Pompei, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and Naples. From Salerno there is easy connection to the archeological site of Paestum. If You arrive by car, there are parkings not far from the apartment. The Sorrento railway station is about 800 meters away, and by train You can easily reach Pompeii, Naples etc. The nearest beach is Marina Grande, which is 20 meters away: You can go there on foot if You feel like. That beach is a typical Sorrento beach and you’ll find a lot of bathing establishments where umbrellas, deckchairs and a bar are available and where kids can safely swim. Sorrento area is located on a platform of a volcanic stone, 50 meters above the sea-level and there aren’t many beaches. That is the reason why you’ll see so many wooden bathing establishments here. If you look for a large beach in Sorrento area, you should go to Alimuri beach (4 Km away from Casa Gilda Charming House) – payment car parking available. A curiosity: if You rent Casa Gilda Charming House, consider also that each week a street market is arranged. Besides, on Tuesday every week in Sorrento (about 2 Km away from the Casa Gilda Charming House) You can go to the local street market where You can find anything for very good prices. We suggest You also visit the small but absolutely breath-taking public garden Villa Comunale of Sorrento (free entrance) from where You can admire the beautiful gulf of Naples with its symbol Vesuvius.
