If you don't mind being a bit further afield, B&B I Giramondo is perfect. It's out past the Vatican City, almost at the end of the B line on the metro. There are parks, trattorias, restaurants, laundromats, gelaterias, grocery stores...everything you'll need and a lot of things you won't. The B&B itself is well appointed, clean, and comfortable. It's in... More

Start off by saying...it'd be best if you knew how to converse fluently in Spanish or Italian to be able to communicate with the owner, Mario. I understand Spanish, but can't really converse, but my buddy could, so that made our stay a little more tolerable. Mario though - TREMENDOUS host and owner. Could not have asked for a nicer... More

For me the worst accomodation, in the description many unclear things: First trouble we had while booking. Mario asked for credit card number as guarantee (ok) and CVC Number - which I have refused.... If you give someone these both information, anyone can use your credit card! So be careful! This accomodation is a flat in block appartment. You have... More

I Giramondo is one of 22 apartments at 9, Via Carlo Zucchi (which is the block directly on the corner of Carlo Zucchi and the main road, Via Gregorio VII). The apartment has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a good kitchen and a spacious living room which leads on to the balcony. Everything is comfortable, clean, in good condition, and well... More

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at this B&B, especially because of Mario, the owner, who was extremely helpful and funny and always there with a good advice. If we were to go back to Rome, we would definetly stay here again: the Vatican was just a stroll away, the Metropolitana as well, and we discovered a great... More

Mario and Luisa could not have been more helpful! If you want a fabulous, spacious, elegant apartment, quite close to the Vatican and all the historic sites, then this is the place for you. I Giramondo is unobtrusive, being located in a block of apartments, but you are right there amongst the wonderful Romans and two blocks down the street... More

Great place to stay in Rome. Quiet area, close to metro, super market and central Rome. Mario is great and welcoming person, always glad to help, even he almost does not speak English. Rooms were clean, as well as public areas. For breakfast we had coffee and tea, marmelade, nutella, bread and croissants. There is a balcony in the flat,... More

We spent a week in this B&B recently. Mario met us at the apt. on arrival and was there to at least twice a day to see the place was stocked up. There are 3 rooms in the apt. and a kitchen to cook meals if we wanted, a nice feature. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless. The Metro was close... More

I have already recommended this place to friends and colleagues and would certainly stay here again myself or with my family. Mario was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. More
