Loved the hotel. They are just finishing renovations and it is beautiful. Very close to St Peter's Square. They offer free breakfast which was very good. A wide selection of breakfast foods to choose from.

We had a renovated room and had no issues with noise from construction. We heard it a bit in the day but not at all at night. Room was very clean, fresh, luxurious blankets and pillows, wonderful water pressure in the shower head. ( we had a tub/ shower combo). Thick towels. Breakfast was very good, nice variety. Bright, large eating... More

Cost: Two night stay $510 US dollars which included breakfast. Check-In: Upon arrival we were greeted by hotel staff and began check in process. I booked the City Special through the hotel’s web site and inadvertently selected 1 room for 2 nights for 1 person, which was my error since my wife was with me. I should have selected 2... More

Our previous travels to we had stayed at the Starhotel Metropole and have always had a very comfortable stay. This year we wanted to be closer to the Vatican and we were. The disappointment came when we inquired at the front desk about the air conditioner, it was very hot in the room and you can not control the thermostat.... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in April 2013. The hotel is being renovated and works are ongoing, but as we were out all day/night this was not an issue. We requested a renovated room in advance and was allocated a great room with a very modern bathroom. The breakfast options had everything you would want; cereals, hot... More

I enjoyed the hotel very much. The room and the bathroom was modern and clean with nice amenities . The views and location to the Vatican are awesome! Breakfast was good (especially the glazed croissants ) and the staff throughout the hotel were great!

Just spent four days at this hotel. They are undergoing major renovations and the noise level can be very unpleasant. One day they were without running water and offered nothing in terms of compensation to paying guests. They offer very few amenities (no concierge, nothing in the way of tourist assistance) and they are clearly understaffed- the wait can be... More

We have just returned from a 3 day break in Rome satying at the Starhotels Michelangleo. Nice hotel! As with all 4 stars in Europe its probably more a 3/3.5 but still a very good hotel for the money we paid through lastminute.com. As always here's my pro's and cons so you can weigh it up for yourself. Pro's: First... More

We have just returned from a 5 night Easter break to Rome, staying at the Starhotels Michelangelo Hotel. This was the perfect location for us, as the main purpose of our trip, was attending the Easter masses (although free you do need tickets for the masses, which can be obtained by writing to the Vatican) and visiting the Vatican Museums....
