We spent 4 nights at the hotel Amalia. At first, there was a discrepancy about the room - we had two adults and a child. We were told that no bed was available for the child - we would have to sleep everyone in a queen bed or everyone in 2 doubles. During that time, a queen and one double... More

This hotel is clean, convenient, reasonably priced and above all......quiet. The hotel may not have a flash reception but everyone is helpful and considerate. I had asked for two rooms close to each other. This was carefully managed by the hotel and made the trip easier for my novice fellow traveller. Breakfasts are typically Italian so if you are looking... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights based on a recomendation. It was very nice and clean. Breakfast was ok could have been better. Only had a few pastrys and cereal along with juice and coffee. The only complaints that i had about this hotel was the air conditioning which barely cooled the room off and didnt really cool... More

My husband and I stayed at Amalia Hotel upon our return from a Celebrity Cruise with 14 family members. They all flew back to the U.S. and we stayed at the hotel for a night alone in Rome. We had several tours scheduled with Presto Tours and this hotel came recommended from them. We were so pleased. They let us... More

Just returned from a father/daughter (16) trip to Rome. We stayed 6 nights at the Amalia. This is an excellent hotel for a first time visitor. I've stayed in many hotels in Europe and this was one of the bigger ones, but my first in Rome (so I'm sure there are others just as good). The size was very comfortable... More

Amalia Hotel consider them selves as a 3 star hotel - their website has nice pictures and gives a good impression. But everything is fake... When you arrive you will find that there is not even a proper reception... The hotel is dirty and worn down... Our room 402 had big holes in the walls. Contacted the reception to borrow... More

Please note that for reasons of safety of our customers and especially for the fire prevention Amalia hotel does not provide an iron and ironing board, but has an external service that returns the ironing clothes before 12 / 24 hour . Best regards Hotel Amalia Leonardo More

My family and I stayed here for two nights and although the rooms are a little tight, we were very pleased. Friendly staff, good AC, extremely clean and well maintained and located a few blocks from the Vatican and the trains and buses make this a great choice. We would stay here again when visiting Rome. The hotel is a just what you expected as time of booking. A 3 star hotel with clean and functional rooms, breakfast included is ok and the staff is really kind and helpful. Good wifi conection (not free, 5 € for 3 hours, 10 € for 10 hours, all non.consecutives, so you can buy 3 hours and spend it in... More

We stayed there for one night. Dirty room, including a hole in one of the walls !!! . Very dark and small rooms, it's like a crypt. No hot water at the shower. Hair on the towels in the bathroom. Very noisy... The only thing good is the position, near St Pietro. Staff is nice but strange... they told us... More

We had a six night stay at the Hotel Amaila and was not pleased. To be fair, I will start with the positives related to this hotel. The first is location. Only two blocks from the Vatican, we found this hotel to be a perfect base for our week-long stay in Rome. The neighborhood seemed friendly and Castroni's next door... More
