The best part of this hotel was the location. Just a couple of blocks from the train station. We found the hotel desk staff helpful and patient with us. The rooms are a little dated. Our bathroom had a small shower with just a curtain, and the bed and pillows were quite hard. The room was clean, which is the... More

Excellent location - everything we wanted was within walking distance but felt the hotel was definitely not 4*. Didn't find the staff particularly happy or helpful. Room could definitely benefit from an update.

I didn't pay for this hotel, which makes it a bonus to start with. However, as one would expect from a 4* hotel it was excellent value for the price, which I now know, and is really not far from many of the sites, being right next to Rome's second largest church, the Santa Maria Maggiore. The breakfast dining room... More

We were looking for a cheap 4 night city break in Rome and came across a deal that included 4 nights in this 4* hotel. I checked out the hotels website and it looked amazing so we booked it. While sitting on the plane I was wondering if we would get any of the traditional and romantic rooms pictured on... More

What I liked most about my stay were the excellent staff. Every question and every issue were handled with grace and quickly. The hotel itself is clean with modest rooms. Breakfast is good and even after staying a week, it did not get old. The location is convenient for those travelling to the city without their own car since it... More

We just arrived home after a two-week stay in Rome at the Commodore Hotel. The hotel location worked well for us as it's a short walk to the train station we took a few day trips from. The room was very comfortable, very clean and quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. The staff was excellent: very helpful and... More

After traveling in Italy for a week, we returned to Rome and spent one night at the Commodore. When we checked in, the desk manager realized that we would be leaving early the next morning to catch a flight, and said he would arrange box breakfasts for us to take, which was very thoughtful. The room and bathroom were large... More

We stayed at the Commodore for two nights during our trip to Rome in July. It couldn't have been more convenient! It was less than a five minute walk from the station and was very handy for local bus and Metro stations. The hotel was traditional in style. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Staff helped us to book... More

Just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay in Rome (very tired feet!) Hotel was in a fantastic location only 5 - 10 mins walk from the main transport termini and was a fantastic base of operations to plan our assault on Rome! Room's & general hotel appearance were very outdated however rooms were a good size, kept clean &... More
