This accommodation is a hidden gem, a truly tranquil place in the heart of the bustling city! A five minute walk to the colosseum and five minute walk to the nearest underground station. A relatively big room, a substantial en-suite and tea and coffee making facilities any time if the day. What more could you want in Rome?? It's very... More

Love this place, safe & secure, very pretty and clean and inviting. Lemon and Orange trees pave the high walls surrounding the property, grounds itself stunning. Rooms basic but clean and cosy. Tea & Coffee making facilities very handy after a day of trecking around Rome. It was the perfect place to get married! Location absolutely perfect, Coloseum right on... More

We stayed here for 9 nights in the run up to and just after our wedding which was also organised through the Irish College. Alison was very helpful throughout all the planning and everything went perfectly! Our families were able to stay at Villa Irlanda for the few days as well and took over the place, which was appreciated! There... More

This is one of the true hidden gems of Rome. The Irish College has spent a great deal of time, effort and money in converting this old convent to a modern, comfortable and extremely convenient home away from home. The facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court and five aside football pitch. The rooms are generously sized with lofty ceilings... More

Had great few days in Villa Irlanda. Was recommended the place by a friend who has often stayed there. Loction was great, as was quiet as well as being not too far from the centre. A very handy bus service was close and buses leaving very frequently. We were meant to spend just 2 first nights in a cottage (Cottage... More

On the recommendation of a friend we booked Villa Irlanda for a 4 night stay in Rome and we weren’t disappointed. Access to the Villa is via a side gate, accessible by residents only, behind the Irish College which is approximately 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum. Although the villa does have a religious flavour you don’t have to be... More

Villa Irlanda is wonderful! George, who runs the front desk, is quite personable and helpful. Though this facility is booked through monasterystays.com, it is actually a former convent, now B&B with a very private wall and large, thick, heavy, bolted door that can only be circumvented by George when you "buzz" upon arrival. While Villa Irlanda is only a short... More

Wonderful accomodation with the rarest of things in Europe.....tea and coffee making facilities! Bright, large and airy rooms. Beautiful grounds...with a seasonal swimming pool. So very central to everywhere and near a good range of places to eat or just get a coffee. The manager is a star! Would certainly stay there again and have recommended to friends.
