I can't understand the negative comments about this hotel. We were booked at the Hotel Modigliani and they were full so they put us in here for a night. The desk staff were all family and the owner was on the desk in the late afternoon. They all spoke excellent English and were helpful and attentive. The room was adequate... More

We booked this hotel for 3 nights in July 2010. However, when I and my wife arrived at the hotel, the man on the front desk told us he could not give our room since there was a problem related to a broken water pipe in the room. He had booked a room for us in a different hotel and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon. Location: right up the street from Barberini metro stop. The metro location is convenient but it is a tad far from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Rooms: a little small (especially the bathroom) but adequate and clean. Several people have commented about a smell and it is a bit musty after... More

This is a small hotel in a great location if you want to be in the Via Veneto area of Rome. I spent one night in October. The hotel has 14 rooms .. 3 per floor .. based on my experience I would rate it at over priced 2 ½ stars. I paid 144 Euro for one night .. I... More

Overall: Great location, good price, bad smell The best thing about this hotel was its location -- a 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and not much farther to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps and some of the best squares. It was also a block from a subway stationm, making it very easy to get anywhere in Rome (we didn't... More

I booked this hotel for a surprise birthday present, staying 3 nights. I hoped it would have Italian charm and character. I didn't expect Marriot or Raddison and the price I paid suggested that. I did get friendly service, lovely breakfast, clean room serviced daily, free internet, luggage holding service and an excellent location to visit all of Rome. The direct... More

We arrived in Rome hot and tired and found that this hotel was not as expected. The entrance was very strange , small isnt the word ! The room was adaquate in size but the cleanliness was a lot to be desired. The bathroom in particular was very bad. The small juliet balcony overlooking the noisy road was full of... More

L'Hotel Cinquantatre was a beautiful hotel in the heart of Rome. Easily accessible to metro and cabs. The staff was friendly and spoke English nicely. The breakfast (excellent cappuccino) can either be eaten inside or outside on a veranda. My husband and I chose to eat in doors because our room had the most beautiful veranda on the top floor... We recently returned from our 4 day stay in Rome at the L'Hotel 53. It's situated close to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi fountain, restaurants on via veneto and close to a metro station. The hotel is not too big and the rooms are not very large either but it was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms have been recently... More

This hotel very kindly gave us a last minute booking when i had completely stuffed up my apartment booking by outting the wrong date! I couldnt have booked a more charming hotel if I had tried, especially in may., they even gave us a very reasonable rate. We had a small double room on the first floor , looking over... More
