We loved this hotel and went when it was very hot out. The air conditioning here was great, as were the surrounding gardens. The room was clean and so was the bathroom, both were very nice. We loved the breakfast and also loved the breakfast area. Neighborhood was very nice and quiet for sleeping. Only negative is it is a... More

I spent two weeks in the Aventino hotel in Rome, Italy. This hotel is one of three (the Aventino, the San Anselmo, and the San Pio) in a quiet residential area on a hill that overlooks the Circus Maximus. I was working at the FAO building, and it is a easy to do 20 minute walk from the Aventino to... More

The Hotel Aventino is one of the three under the same ownership set in the midst of the beautiful Aventino Hill. We have stayed at all three (the Hotel San Anselmo and the Hotel Villa San Pio being the others). We had a corner room with a wrap-around balcony - just heavenly in the morning sun smelling the jasmine flowers... More

Just stayed two nights here, and will be back. The hotel is in a really lovely setting, very quite neighborhood, very green and calm. The rooms are nice, not overly large or luxurious but are more than adequate with a desk, wardrobe, table, and in my case a small balcony with table and chairs. There is no restaurant, but there... This hotel is really nice and has some historic charm. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed breakfast on the patio every morning. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood on a hill with lots of nice homes and is close to a park overlooking all of Rome.It was a great... More

Hotel Aventino is located in the Aventino neighborhood of Rome, which is a very quiet residential area with large houses and villas. However, it is too far away to walk to or from any of the main touristic attractions of Rome. We timed it and it takes 16' on foot to get from the Circo Massimo metro station. There are... More

I stayed in the Hotel Aventino with my teenage daughter for two nights. It is a charming hotel in an old villa in the Aventine Hill. If you want peace and quiet, yet be close to the main tourist attractions (~10-15 minute walk to the Colloseum, Platine Hill and the Forum; 5 minutes to a beautiful little park with a... More

We found this a delightful hotel to come back to after a day sightseeing and invariable took a walk into the Testaccio area for dinner each evening rather than returning to the center by taxi. The Metro stops at 9pm. Our standard room was well furnished but small and as one of the windows wouldn’t close properly the air conditioning... More
