The only thing going for this hotel is its central location. Otherwise, this is a small and dark hotel, with cheerless and dark rooms that are more than a little worn at the edges. The staff are not friendly, and every interaction with the hotel, from booking to payment was made complicated. Given all of this, the prices charged make... More

We stayed 3 nights here and I knew the price of this hotel when I booked it, but I did not realise just how little I got for my money. Room only, well almost.! as the included breakfast was very small indeed (packet of melba toast with butter & jam coffee, fruit juice and pastry) from the snack bar next... More

This is a great little hotel. The room was small (consistent with European single) but was extremely well kept and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area was very convienant to the Coliseum, Forum and the Victor Emanual. Pretty good cafe and restaurants very close by. Strongly recommend. More

We stayed at Albergo Romano in May last year for 4 nights during our honeymoon. It's about a 7-10 min walk from Colloseum & metro station, and literally across the road from the Roman Forum. Santo the owner was very friendly. Our room was spacious, with a window facing the busy street, but it's very quiet if you keep the... More

After a marvelous tour of the Colosseo and the Forum, we were eating at a cafe (next door to Romano) and marveling how nice it would be if we could eat here everyday. I nudged my hubby several times to go ask what the room tariff was for the glass door facing us...and while he was reluctant at the idea... More

This hotel is located near the Colosseum - in my opinion, too close and the area is too touristy. The rooms are bare bones - clean and decent sized, but that is about it. The tv is tiny; there is no internet or wireless as advertised; there is no lock box as advertised; and there is no lounge or sitting... More

We arrived on thursday lunchtime & were given room 422 (fourth floor). The room was quite spacious, we had booked a double room but there was also a single bed in the room. The bed was quite comfortable & the room clean & bright, on the downside when we opened the window it was directly above the kitchen extractor of... More

I booked a single for five nights in September and was surprised with one of Romano's best rooms...a large double with a private terrace overlooking the forum. Can't ask for anything better than that. The bathroom was also large, although the shower was quite small. The whole place was spotless...so clean in fact, that the maid came through everyday and... This small hotel is as close to the colloseum and forum as possible. It is clean and adequately furnished for a short stay in Rome. We had a triple room consisting of a double bed and single which was perfectly adequate for three adults. The bathroom was spotless as was the bedroom and we had fresh towels daily. The ceiling... The Hotel was the perfect location to walk to all of the popular tourist sites. Colosseum and Forum were only a few blocks away. We saw all of the main tourist attractions and did not have to use public transportation, although it was nearby. The room was basic and very clean. It is a small property with very friendly staff.... More
