We were very pleased with our stay at Obelus and would definitely return. Monika and Davida who own the place were extremely helpful and welcoming. Nothing was ever a problem and it felt as if we had gone to stay at some relatives place. Being a family of four with two very young children, 4 and 20months, we had the... More

My wife and 2 daughters had the opportunity to travel through Italy in August, 2011. We have never been to Rome, let alone Italy. At the time our host was Sal who was invaluable in providing us with recomendations as to where to eat, sight see, etc, including how to avoid line ups. Accomodations and location were excellent, hopitality A1,... More

We stayed for 4 days at Obelus and were very pleased. We were 3 adult women in the quad room which gave us plenty of space. It is located outside the historic center but the metro was very close (less than 2 blocks) and Colosseum within in walking distance. I liked being away from the tourist area so the location... More

Monika and David welcomed us warmly after a disheartening incident (see Taka H's review) and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasant stay in Rome. Within walking distance of the Colloseum and restaurants, Obelus is a great venue. We would definitely stay here again and urge you to check it out! More

We stayed at Obelus flor 4 nights in October. The bedroom (3) was clean and comfortable with en suite, air conditioning, tv and hairdryer. There is also a small dining room and kitchen where our hostess Monika served a more than adequate breakfast (juice, toast, cheese, cold meats, croissant, jams, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit & coffee). As we had to... More

Our trip to rome started on a bad note when my father was pickpocketed at the rome termini station. Our family felt pretty down about the situation until we arrived at obelus. The friendly staff/owner went out of their way to drive us to the police station for us to file the pickpocketing related report, and also translate (yes, none... More

We stayed at Obelus for 4 nights in October. The location was perfect. 3 minuts from the metro station, 10 minute walk to the Colleseum, and from there most of Rome is in a walking distance. The location is just by the center of Rome, but far enough so a lot of good untouristic authentic resteraunts are around (we reccomend... More

We stayed at Obelus for 3 nights in September. There were three of us, so our room had one single bed and a double bed. The double looked as if they were simply two twins placed together. The location was fantastic. The metro station was a 5-7 min walk. From there, we could access any place in Rome. The rooms... More

Fantastic bed and breakfast. Walking distance to all the sights and close to the Metro. The owners are delightful. Rooms are basic, comfortable and excellent value. Our family of four stayed six nights and felt most welcome. Breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. More

Obelus is a comfortable B&B in a fantastic location, walking distance to most tourist locations. But what really made the Obelus outstanding was their management team of Salvador and Lisa. They took the time to get out maps, ask our priorities and orient us to the city. They also recommended the best Gelato in town," the Palms". They were friendly,... More
