I was truly humbled by the warmth and generosity of Elena and the staff . My 4 night stay at Candia was entirely pleasant and worthy of a hugely complimentary review of itself. However, it was what happened afer I left that will leave me with the fondest memories. I realised after I left Italy that I had left a... More

We just returned from our 3 night stay in Rome at the Residence Candia, and had a decent experience, although not the best. We had a very difficult time locating our room, as they were numbered very differently. There are three rooms on each floor, and unfortunately, ours was situated between two foreign families who apparently lived at this apartment... More

We were greeted by a very friendly lady we arrived very early so our room wasn't ready but we were able to go in and dump our cases and quickly change when we came back the room had been cleaned. Access to the balcony was a problem as there were no steps up to door but we managed. Overall the... More

Location, Location, Location. The hotel was very near the vatican and metro station so getting around this historical city was easy. The rooms were clean and service was excellent. Coffee shops, markets, and neighborhood stores were located within a block. Safe neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were more than adequate but not spectacular. Would stay here again.

A friend & I stayed here from Sept.27-30, 2012. Our travel agent raved about this place as did all the reviews on T.A........while there was nothing really wrong with this hotel. You do get what you pay. I never stay here again, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. It certainly does not look like the featured pictures. The... More

My husband and I stayed here when we were in Rome for my cousin's wedding. Her and her fiance's family, who live in Rome, picked out the hotel. There were at least 30 guests from the wedding staying here so we were able to see a variety of rooms. Some of the rooms are small, but ours was very spacious... More

We used Residence Candia as our home for Christmas as we have no family in Europe and wanted to be able to cook our own food. After living in hostels for so long having a bit of space was fantastic. It was a small apartment but completely equipped (ironing board, hair dryer, shoe horn, mirrors, excessive amounts of storage and... More

We walked to the apartment hotel from the nearest metro station. It takes about 5-10 min walking. It’s quite tasking when you have several pieces of luggage and a baby in a pram on a hot sunny day. Check in was easy. From what I could gather, the guy at the reception spoke at least 4 languages (English, Germany, French... More

I would recommend Residence Candia for anyone who is traveling with others for over a week. The people working the desk were pretty nice and the apartments were always clean. Really good sized for the price. It was in a really good location and you could easily get to everything in Rome. You're basically next door neighbors to the Pope.... More
