Having visited Bologna a number of times, this was the first time at the Art Corona. This will be my new place to stay. Very charming hotel just a short walk from the the Two Towers and the main square. Nice spacious room, ultra clean, very quiet. Breakfast buffet - one of the best on our trip. Recommend you have... My boyfriend and I spent one night in this hotel. It was a lovely stay, really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and had a pretty view on Bologna's roof and a few towers. The receptionist were helpful. The room and the bathroom were clean and had all the necessary. Well, I had to ask for an ironing board and... More

The Corona D'Oro 's great advantage is its extreme closeness to the historic centre of the city, while being in a quiet narrow street where traffic is limited. The hotel is therefore very peaceful and no noise - or little - penetrates the bedrooms or public rooms. The reception service is efficient and pleasant - if a little impersonal. The... More

This conveniently located hotel with a charming staff, totally willing to accommodate at reasonable rates is worth the visit. Can't go wrong. Rooms are small and basic, but clean and comfortable and meet your needs. I would go there again. The price was right as well, though I booked through Booking.com and was confirmed for one rate and I didn't... More

Seldom does a hotel manage to provide such an enduringly warm welcome that its guests feel valued and cared for thoroughout their stay. Not simply was nothing too much or too difficult for the staff, but they seemed genuinely interested in the welfare of their guests. Returning to the hotel after a period of siteseeing was like coming back to... More

This hotel is tucked away on a little side street off of the main thoroughfare not to far from the Strada Maggiore and Galleria Cavour for shopping and a short walk to the Piazza del Commune for a Capuccino sitting outdoors ( if you can duck the pidgeons), The hotel is not very large which makes it intimate. The desk... More

We stayed here for 4 days, then a further 3, with a short business trip to Florence in between. Both times we had suites, # 204 and 104. The bath in the first suite was very difficult for me to negotiate, following a hip replacement, as the glass panel of the shower would slide back and forwards but not fold... More

We stayed for a week in February 2013 in room 214. We wanted to renew our previous experience of Bologna 30 years ago, and travelled by train to Florence and Ravenna. We expected variable weather and indeed it snowed for 3 days, so it was great to be able to return to this centrally-located warm haven. The room was warm... More

Boutique hotel in an excellent, central location. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in room 208. It was so QUIET and spacious. Our room was extremely clean and beautiful. The cream colored wood moldings and decor gave the room a soft brightness. I do believe a couple of double beds were pushed together to form a... More
