We only stayed here one night -the people were friendly, the hotel was close-ish to town, but nothing spectacular. I would recommend for a night or two, for a no-frills, not-amazing but not-terrible stay.

Hotel Giardinetto is a must for me everytime I come to Bologna. Not really close to rail station, but has a bus stop right in front. If you are staying in Bologna this Hotel is a short taxi ride from the train station (where the airport bus drops off) approx: 8-10 Euro.
