My wife and I spent three nights here two weeks ago.......a stay we will never forget. Maybe the best ever. Maurizio welcomed us into his beautifully renovated apartment and ensured we had a daily itinerary from which to deviate.. His rooms are within 50 feet of Trattoria del Billy, the #1 rated restaurant in all of Cinque Terre. The rooms... More

Va bene! Maurizio made us feel at home, stopping by everyday to offer itineraries, must-see destinations, and dining recommendations. The unit itself was immaculate, with free wi-fi, plenty of hot water in the shower, and a terrace with views that can't be beat. Although a bit of climb to reach the unit, we were rewarded with outstanding sunset and sea... More

Good price, wonderful views, cosy and quiet room with balcony, LCD, A/C and free-wi-fi in the beautiful Manarola! No breakfast included but much better than some hotels! The owner Maurizio is also very nice. Loved it!

I stayed in Aria di Mare for three nights in April with my mum and we thought it was the perfect location out of all the five villages for what we were looking for. Manerola is, in my opinion, the most beautiful and relaxing of the towns in Cinque Terre (we didnt make it to Corniglia though). It's very quiet,... More

Maurizzio was charming and helpful and the terrace outside my pretty, very clean room was the perfect place to end a day of sun and hiking. Incredible views. The best restaurant in town is next door. The only drawback was the long very, uphill hike from the train station. But worth it!

We stayed three nights in the top room with the private terrace, and loved every minute of it. Room and bathroom were very clean, and we enjoyed being able to keep things in the refrigerator and make in-room coffee. Resident cat is very friendly and visited with us on the terrace. Wi-Fi doesn't reach this room, but we were able... More

Maurizio Sassarini operates a lovely little hotel in the Cinque Terre town of Manarola. We stayed for three nights in September of 2012, and we would definitely book with him again. The hotel sits on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, with a great view. Several of the rooms open to small private patios. It is a bit of a walk... More

This place was recommended by an Italian friend, and our party of three couples stayed for several days. It's at the highest point of Manarola, just along from Trattoria Dal Billy (see my review), and is a testing climb on a hot day if you've got luggage ! Neither Maurizio or the wonderful Mamma Franca have much english, but it... More

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The view was breathtaking. The Nativity scene was opposite on the hill and lit up the night. Maurizio was helpful and recommended two great walks since the whole coastal hike was closed when we were there. Both walks were truly wonderful and we had the most perfect winter... More
