Small but comfortable room. Slept like a rock on the comfortable bed. Breakfasts were excellent. Hosts Giovanni and Alessandra are delightful and helpful. Location is perfect for getting downtown-10 min walk or to train anywhere 2 mins to Brignole Station. Would definitely go back.

We stay almost exclusively in B&Bs, and our very best experiences come from both the people and the place – from hosts who are genuinely kind and interested and a place that is clearly a labour of love. This is Il Borgo di Genova; this is Alessandra and Giovanni. We had the great fortune of being able to share five... More

Charming B&B close to the heart of Genova. 2 mn walk from the Brignole station and metro station (but very quiet). Very nicely decorated, very comfortable beds and great breakfast (ask for a fantastic cappuccino). Top price-quality. The small B&B (6 rooms) is managed by the adorable Alessandra and Giovanni who will help you find your way in Genova. A... More

We spent two nights here and were warmly welcomed into a most beautiful B&B. The location is excellent, very close to the train station and a short walk to the centre. We were given lots of advice and recommendations from our host which was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and, as we had an early train to catch, breakfast... More

The second time of visiting Genoa in 10 month's, because my partner and I absolutely love it....meant we just had to return to this absolute 'Gem' of a B&B. We spent a full week there last summer...and vowed that we would return some day...and really couldn't wait to get back and meet the lovely Alessandra and Giovanni. It's very difficult... More

Excellent location close to station, historic sights, restaurants and amenities. But best of all a lovely guest house, with light rooms, amazing home made breakfasts, and simply the best hosts - Alessandra and Giovanni, are warm, welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one in Genoa.

Despite rain and a very active family next door, the hosts were warm and welcoming for our two night stay here. The stairs and access up are an adventure, the breakfasts are very good and the advice was spot on to tour the area. Had a great tour of Cinque Terre with Pall (Trek Guyd), too. The rooms were quiet... More

We; two adults and one 9-month-old baby, stayed in Il Borgo di Genova for one week in September. There is a long flight of stairs up to the rooms, but the hosts were always very helpful, carrying the baby's stroller upstairs. A heavy pram is not recommended, though. The hosts bought a baby bed before we arrived, and did all... More
