Stayed here 4 - 9th April 2013. We have visited bergamo a number of times and always stay in citta alta. casa mario lupo is the best of all our stays. Excellent accommodation, friendly host who provides a good breakfast. Hope we can return soon.

We stayed for two nights in this fantastic B&B, located in the centre of the wonderful old city of Bergamo. The apartment was spacious, ideal for 2 adults and 2 small children, and full of character. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful without being overbearing. The breakfast was fantastic. Cannot wait to return!

A family fo three, had five wonderful days in Bergamo Citta Alta. Everything was fine, the building old and besutiful, rooms spacy, tidy, clean, breakfast good and with an exellent host. The location could not have been better. We felt very well taken care of. Highly recomended. We world like to come again.

This family run B&B is centrally located in the old part of Bergamo, just around the corner from the old central square and the main shopping street (Via B Colleoni). A bit tricky to find on the narrow one way streets but Gianmauro, the owner, will guide you by telephone and even come out onto the street to make sure... More

Historic and romantic place. Friendly service. 4 key not even as difficult as interesting. All the rooms have names. Ours was called Athena and Zeus. Very nice to come back to the hotel in the evening by the light of lamps through the ancient gates. We recommend Casa Mario Lupo for all.

This accomodation is something else. You just have to see it. It´s old and cosy. You get 4 keys; one to outer gate, one to inner gate, one to outdoor and last for your room. Very safe feeling. :) Stairs inside the building are very narrow and steep, difficult with small kids and large suitcases.Lovely for couples. Romantic.
