What a joy to find a large, family-run hotel that scores on so many fronts: the finest terrace in Stresa, atop the hotel, with comfortable sofas and discreet pool; a large, underground garage that's free for guests; spotless rooms; satisfying breakfast buffet; and courteous, friendly and efficient service from the manager down to the chambermaid and bus-boys.
