The journey through life has often taken me on adventures that I could've never even dreamed of as a young man and in late August of 2011, I stood once again on a pathway that could lead me on such a journey. I was rapidly approaching the end of an eight year project leaving me with weeks of free time... More

If I could award more than 5 stars, I would not hesitate to do so. Susanna and Stefan have created a true home away from home and always make me and my (very effervescent) group of friends feel welcome and looked after. This hotel has the typical "family run" style, but offers so many services and luxury reminiscent of larger... More

Cavallino d'Oro is an immaculate little hotel with charming atmosphere and most helpful staff. Located on a quiet square in the centre of Kastelruth (Castelrotto), literally few meters from the church. For those who (as was our case) arrive by own car, there is an underground car park nearby operated by the same keycards the hotel room. The car park... More

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Only words to express our stay at the Gold Horse. From our first request for a reservation to the efficient check out, we were impressed with an excellent experience. Every member of the staff was courteous & knowledgable. They suggested places to ride a gondola to the high meadows, hike, & have a beer & snack. We... More

Rooms were unique, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Our room faced the bell tower and we weren't bothered by it once. It's actually a very nice view overlooking the village square. We purchased full board and have to say, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality our five course dinners. The hosts and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would... More

We stayed there with the family twice in winter for skiing. The cavallino is er very nice hotel with traditional furnished rooms. It is very comfortable and in the middle of the old town of Kastelruth. For skiing you have to take a bus that leaves in a few minute walk from the hotel and goes directly to the gondola... More

Located on the Italian Austrian border in the most picturesque setting you will ever see! The hotel is actually in the town square which you can't drive into - we walked there and the receptionist instructed my husband on how to drive in and drop off our suitcases then park the car in an underground car park. Our GPS unit... More

3 nights half board just before christmas. Magical setting. We felt very well looked after. The staff were extremely professional, helpful and kind. The food was excellent, and as vegetarians we were well catered for. Very comfortable, immaculately clean room. Highly recommended.

This bed and breakfast hotel was a perfect introduction to northern Italy for us. It is on the main town square and easily accessible by bus from Bolzano. The hotel staff were all extremely helpful, even to the point of looking up alternative routes to Fondo, our next destination. When a member of our group broke his collarbone they helped... More

We loved our stay at Hotel Cavallino d`Oro. The hotel is in a historical building with all the current amenities. We stayed in a Junior suite for 2 nights, and we had nice view of the Dolomites from the sun roof in our room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They took our suitcases to the room before we could... More
