This hotel was fine for our purpose. As expected it was old and tired and the rooms smelt a little musty ( expected after all look where you are!) but is was so central only a short walk to almost anywhere you would like to see. More

Great spot.We had 6 nights at start of September. If you fly in you can get an express bus to the bus station for 5euro and it is one bridge and about 700 metres to the continental. Water taxi to door is 110 euro although it is a similar walk from air terminal to water taxis as it is from... More

We were looking for a decent and affordable place close to the train station. If these are your requirements, Continental is okay. We requested a twin room. We were shown to a double room. We immediately asked if there was no twin available, so the porter contacted the reception desk and we were taken to a room meeting our reservation... More

We stayed at the continental for one night. The room was small and not particulalrly clean. It was impossible to use the shower without flooding the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was a shambles as they had booked several bus groups in to the hotel at the same time. I would not stay there again. More

Old, tired, dirty, The shower was disgusting( a rusty metal box, door would not close, shower head would not stay in place). Very, very dirty sheer curtains that gave us no privacy unless the shutters were closed and then had no fresh air and room was dark and depressing. Restaurant is nice having outdoor service on the Grand Canal. The hotel... More

This hotel is in a great location - easily accessible to railway and airport shuttle bus. As with most Italian hotels the rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast was good and we tool advantage of a 20euro meal offer and it was excellent value. More

Stayed here at the end of an Insight Tour. Our director warned us for 10 minutes about the size of rooms and Venetian attitudes. He was right. Our room wasn't terribly small by European standards but there was mold in the bathroom and mosquitos flying about. Not so lovely view of the brick wall next door after winding around down... More

Stayed one night in May before going on a cruise. Close to the train station which is why we chose it. Our room had 2 opening windows facing the Grand Canal. Was not even expecting that and really appreciated the view. The furnishings were old, but this is an old hotel with a lot of character. The bed and pillows... More

We stayed here in July for 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were well sized for Venice accom and the bathroom was really clean. Great location close to the station and an easy walk to the main areas and our room window overlooked the Grand Canal! The breakfast was superb, with great variety of food at a... More
