We enjoyed our stay here and the staff were very friendly, we were even upgraded to a canal view room we stayed for 4 nights. This is a very luxury hotel and we felt like royalty. The only reason I give this a 4* is because I feel that they should offer a small coffee pot which they don't and... More

The experience of staying here is one in a kind, they still have furniture from hundred years ago, we had stayed in two different rooms and both were magnificent. This is a great luxury collection hotel every second we felt like royalty... Price is high for the stay and the restaurant, but worth every penny!!! it is a legendary property... More

I think our room was around E600 in August and I didn't want to pay 2-3x for a canal view. But the wife wants a room facing the water next time. Stayed at Cipriani last time and enjoyed the pool over there as well as the views. But we liked not having to catch the water taxi and just being... More

We stayed there for two nights, it was high summer and the hotel was crowded. Still, the staff was very attentious and everything went very well. Impressive bedroom and bathroom. Postcard view from the restaurant by the canale. Just perfect location. I don´t need to say more. Just strongly reccomend it. More

Not a lot of point in writing this as the Gritti Palce closes in 3 weeks time for refurbishment. It will take 18 months to complete. 900 Euros per night For a room with no Wi FI plastic curtain around the bath for the shower no iPod dock etc. this room cost more than the equivalant room at the worlds... There is nothing like staying on the Grand Canal. We had rooms on the second floor, overlooking the Grand Canal, which was mesmerising. Then we ate breakfast out on the terrace, looking at the Grand Canal-we could hardly get ourselves going to leave the view. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. The rooms were very nice, the bathrooms will... More

We stayed at the Gritti September 16-19. It was my husband's first time in Venice and my second, and I wanted the classic Venetian hotel experience. We were not disappointed. Yes, the hotel is in need of its upcoming renovation, but let's see how good you look when you're five hundred years old. (Smile). It is old fashioned elegance rather... More

I am very fortunate that I had the Starwood points available to stay at this hotel and sincerely thank Sheraton for making this hotel available in their luxury collection. During this trip we also stayed at the St. Regis in Florence and it is comparable see my separate review. I have spent the same number of points on a "luxury"... More

In May last year we stayed for the first time in Gritti Palace (see my review of May 24, 2010), and we absolutely loved it!! Two weeks ago (September 17 and 18) we stayed there for the second time, and it was even better, if that would be possible. The beautiful building, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the... More

We just arrived back from our 3 night honeymoon at the Gritti Palace, Venice and our stay was truly exceptional. Located on the Grand Canal, we felt that we were in prime position to explore all of Venice while being quietly tucked away from the hoards of tourists. The outdoor restaurant/bar area was the perfect place to enjoy their delicious... More
