We only stayed one night here during our recent visit. We took a water-bus from the train station to Fondamenta Nuove water-bus stop and it's a long walk from there~ ok it's suppose to be a 10min walk but ended up 20min walk due to the heavy luggage, we had to drag our luggage over 3 bridges and finding the... We are happy to read that this client appreciated our Guesthouse and the attention and care of our staff. Altough the title of the review is about a not good location, we understand the he liked what he calls "a nice walk from the hotel to San Marco Basilica and the branded shopping street". Indeed our Guesthouse is at about... More

Ca'Bauta is a type of mask used to hide the true identity of a nobleman during Venice's historic Carnivale. So don't be put off by the dingy, narrow surrounding streets in this part of Venice, because from the tiny little calle (alleyway) which offers very little promise, open the gateway to the courtyard, go up the stairs and enter into... My daughter and I stayed 3 nights in Ca'Bauta in july on trip to Florence. They provided excellent detailed instructions on how to come from airport. I did not find it difficult to find at all. However, it was 10-15 min walk with luggage from where waterbus from airport dropped us. There were some steps involved which also was not... More

We stayed in Ca Bauta at the start of our Honeymoon in May. The room was well equiped, minibar, comfy bed and air conditioning. We did have some issues with noise though. Being a converted palace the high ceilings and partitioned rooms were not the best soundproofing, and in such a quiet area noises are noticed. That aside, the manager... More

the hotel is very good arraged, elegant, classical. rooms are in different sizes. Even the smallest one is still big enough to feel very well. Ceilings are at about 4-6m height, in original wooden beams. Quiet location. Next to the Chiesa di SS. Giovanni e Paolo and the Hospedale with the same name. breakfast is not huge, but the buffet,... The owner Davide runs another hotel in Venice and he is now bringing his magic to Ca' Bauta since the spring of 2010! Beautiful hotel - the rooms are superb, the staff friendly and only too willing to help and advise! Easy to find in a beautiful residential area near the hospital yet superbly located for easy access to Venice... More

This was my second visit to Ca Bauta and it couldn't have been nicer. Our host, David, was fun and so helpful, drawing maps when he directed us places. Big rooms, good shower, true Venetian atmosphere. Castello district is convenient to San Marco but quiet. If there's a negative, it's the lack of internet access, but with Venice Connected internet,... More

We came to Ca Bauta after being at the Hilton Molino Stucky for 3 nights @ 450 per night. I was skeptical when my wife said she booked us into this "hostle" she found on the web. From the moment we arrived I was impressed and pleased. I rate this hotel as being better than the Hilton. David greated us... More
