Oceano Mare B&B is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Venice, offering a family-friendly environment alongside many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay. Close to some of Venice's most popular landmarks, such as San Giorgio Maggiore (0.6 mi) and Ponte di Rialto (0.7 mi), Oceano Mare B&B is a great destination for tourists. The rooms offer air conditioning, and a desk, and getting online is possible, as free wifi is available, allowing you to rest and refresh with ease. In addition, as a valued Oceano Mare B&B guest, you can enjoy free breakfast that is available on-site. Venice has plenty of Italian restaurants. So when you’re here, be sure to check out popular spots like Ristorante Tintoretto, Trattoria Al Gazzettino, and Dal Moro's Fresh Pasta to Go, which are serving up some great dishes. Best of all, Oceano Mare B&B makes it easy to experience many great Venice attractions like Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Gallerie dell'Accademia, and Ca' d'Oro, which are some popular art museums. Enjoy your stay in Venice!
My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is convenient - just 5 minutes walk from Arsenale so very easy to access from Marco Polo airport or Santa Lucia train station. The area is great - Castello is a much quieter area than San Marco and much more residential. It still has plenty of restaurants but fewer crowds and you have much less trouble finding peaceful spots to sit and watch the world go by. The B&B itself is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Our triple suite was surprisingly big and we had a lovely view onto the street below. Breakfast is generous. Nicola (the owner) was available and generous with tips and recommendations. Would definitely stay again. For the money, you really can't go wrong with this place.

Perfect stay, nice location, good beds, all clean. Last but not least, the owner is great. Nicola, very humble and friendly guy. He was even waiting for us at the dock before our ship/water bus from the airport arrived. Then he explained perfectly the route to our stay (you will find this very important later, after you get lost few times, haha). He helped us with route planning, food/restaurant/bar recommendation... I can only recommend to everyone, who is not looking for a posh place with gold lining and silver spoons. I know for sure that when I am back at Venice, I will be back at Oceano Mare B&B. Cheers, Nicola, thank you again! Vaclav

Very nice authentic little B&B in a quiet yet central location. Nicola is the best host. As usual, I was a little skeptical of the abundance of good reviews but found all of them to be right on the money. If you are not a "posh" tourist - the place is ideal. Breakfast is good. My wife and I spent a few lovely nights at Oceano Mare in July 2019.

We have just returned from our stay at Oceana Mare and what a great place it was. This was a surprise 50th present and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. From the off it was a great experience, Nicola met us from the boat and carried our bags for us. On the way he gave us the benefit of his local knowledge whilst making sure we had directions back that were easy to remember. Throughout the day and night we had access to the dining area where there was plenty of cake and other refreshments available to us. Every day the rooms were cleaned and nothing was to much trouble for Nicola or his staff. We can't recommend Oceana Mare highly enough.

Fantastic location in the quiet but lively district of Arsenale. Modern, clean and spacious room. Very affordable. And best of all Nicola is one of the loveliest people I've ever met. Could not recommend this place more!

Our room Riva Del Mare was on the third floor and quite an effort to drag the suitcases up the narrow staircase. The location is in a gorgeous Venice neighborhood. You will need to be a good walker as most of the sites are 15 to 20 minutes away. You also need good navigating skills as it is difficult to find in the rabbit warren lane-ways. Your host Nicola, is very knowledgeable and friendly, will take you there from the ferry the first time. The bathroom toilet is very tight so if you are over 75kgs don't select this room. The main room is a good size and there is a second bedroom with a single bed. Good for storing your luggage or another guest. There is a desk in both rooms and plenty of cupboard space. Good breakfast "help yourself " and you can also have coffee and cake at anytime. This give the B&B a homely feel. The bed is ok and the shower is very good. There is a small fridge in the room and a timber floor. Don't let the negatives put you off as this is still a great stay, but forewarned is forearmed so you know what to expect. A true taste of Venice.…

What can I say about Oceano Mare?? That it was simple the best place that I stayed through my trip to Italy!! Not only because the location, that its really perfect, but because of the owner, Nicolas, a real concierge that would be able to work at any 5 star hotel on the world! He even gave us a bedroom upgrade that made our stay even more perfect! Arsenale is peacefull and quiet, way better than staying where the hustle and bustle is! I would like to live there actually! Hahaha! Nicolas, tks for everything and we will be back for sure! Marina & Carmen =)

I would choose this over hotels with 5+ stars! It was great! Pleasant stay, like we were at our home. Everything is so clean and nice, made with a lot of love. Owner Nicola, his wife and his dog Jerry Goblin are great people, very kind. They treat you like you are their most loved friend. Rooms are comfortable and big enough. Bathroom is small, but very clean. There is always loads od various food downstairs, and you can eat whenever you want. Coffee machine is great! Location could not be better! I WILL come back everytime I visit Venice, I promise! (I stayed at August/September 2017. but I forgot to write a review)

We were delighted to stay here for three nights. The neighborhood is quiet but San Marco square is only a short walk away, and the ferry ports on both the north and south shores are only 5 minutes away. The proprietor, Nicola, is friendly, helpful and fun to talk to. He makes every effort to insure that your stay will be perfect. The house only has 4 good sized and comfortable rooms on two floors with a dining area on the ground floor, so don't expect a hotel! This was a special place for us to stay in a very special city. Would definitely be happy to stay there again.

We stayed in Venice for four nights in June and spent a long time trying to find somewhere affordable, close (but not too close) to the main sights and in easy access to transfer links with arriving by train and leaving by plane. We didn't think the search would be so problematic and were giving up hope until we came across this lovely B&B situated in the Castello district. We couldn't have chosen better - the B&B is just a 10 minute walk to St Mark's Square, around 5 minutes (if that) to the vaporettos yet a world away from the atmosphere of the jam-packed tourist areas. The B&B admittedly isn't for everyone – if you are looking for 5 star luxury and grand canal views then look elsewhere but if you are looking for somewhere in a quiet neighbourhood, with a traditional charm, and a fantastic host (who treats you more like friends than paying customers) then you won't go wrong here. On arrival we were met by the owner Nicola at the closest vaporetto stop (Arsenale), escorted to the B&B and given tips on some great places to eat. We were given an upgrade on arrival so had a larger family room (two bedrooms) and enjoyed the extra space as well as the breakfast which consisted of cold meats, cheese, bread, cereal and numerous kinds of cake. Our stay will be a memorable one, not just because of the beautiful city and sights but because of Nicola's hospitality, interesting stories and quirky pets (a dog called Jerry Goblins and an adopted seagull called Ringo). We'll definitely be staying here again if we visit Venice in the future. …
