We had traveled for 43 days across Italy and France and this was the WORST hostel/hotel experience. In Sept 2012, we had booked a private room for 2 people with a private external bathroom for 3 days. The bathroom was clean, which was the only thing that was close to good about our stay. Our room was on the main... More

This hostel is optimal on an international scale of hostels i've seen, nothing wrong with it but its a bit more expensive than expected in Sicily and a little hard to find but once you are there its a perfect stay.

Stayed here for four days. It was the best hostel i´ve visited! The rooms are clean, breakfast is great. Also the location is awsome, there is a great park next to the hostel. Metro is really not that far away (it took us 5 minutes). Great value for that money.

Agora is a nice and pleasant hostel situated in central Catania. The location is great for sightseeing (especially recommended to visit the market on a busy morning). The rooms are simple but clean. There is free wifi downstairs, the staff is helpful. There is a bar/restaurant next door with a special offer for drinks and food for hostel guests which... More

Some good points- free wi-fi in the bar and downstairs some good bathrooms. The rooms are very basic. In the private twin room there was a small metal bunk bed with leather mattresses and not enough room to swing a cat. The noise from the bar starts early (loud music switched on at breakfast) and continues late into the night.... More

The hostel has a good, central location - close to Piazza del Duomo, and all the main attractions of the city. Even the famous Catanian fish market is just a stones throw away. If you are looking for a room with less than 6 beds, you will not have any luck though. Internet connection is not free, showers and restrooms... More

This is such a well placed hostel, right in the middle of the city. An easy walk to the markets, the shops, the churches, squares ...., even the beach if you are determined! It's in a really busy and buzzy location, with the market outside starting early every day but this is a real plus. Inside, the rooms are clean,... More

Really great location in middle of town. Rooms on ground level are hard to sleep in as people from main area come in and out for toilet. Hostel break worst ever (stale bread and jam). However kitchen is awesome and hostel in middle of market, so spend a few euros and cook up a great local feast. Rooms a little... More

Yes it's noisy at night, but there are quieter rooms if you ask and the noise is just part of the buzz of this place. With ear plugs and a relaxed attitude, you can get a good night's sleep. The rooms are basic hostel dorms but each with a small balcony overlooking the square. Linen provided is excellent - but... More

Great location and very helpful staff (best ever, in fact) but this hostel disappoints on a number of levels. There is only a small kitchen and eating area and almost no space for your food. But the reason I checked out early and found somewhere else is that it is impossible to sleep there. The central location noise is ok... More
