We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to others. The rooms were simple and clean. Room 11 is great! The hosts are friendly and helpful. The location is great. The only draw back for some would be the lack of elevator - it is on the 3rd floor. more

After reading the reviews, we decided to book Hotel Merlini for our Florence trip. Stayed 4 nights and paid more than other recent reviewers did, unfortunately. Albergo Merlini is a bed and breakfast but they don't serve breakfast unless you pay extra. That's dumb. There's a hostel right behind the B&B so at night, it's really loud and noisy if your room faces the hostel. Florence is very small and this hotel is located meters from the main train station, and meters from the city center. Overall the place is nice, clean, roomy and the rooms are quiet big. Staff is very nice and helpful. The only Con is that is situated on the third floor with no lift. more

Pros: Cheap, quiet, 3 minute walk from train station, large rooms, located on a main through street with lots of cafes and markets, laundry line outside window for drying clothes.
