Perfect location in Florence. Close to the train station and you can walk to all the attractions from the hotel. Rooms were clean, free WiFi and a good breakfast with amazing coffee. The owner and his family were very friendly and helpful.

Me and four of my other friends stayed here this past weekend and had a great experience. Our room was nice and cozy. The people working the hotel were so generous and helpful! Great location also, right in the middle of the city and easy to walk everywhere we needed to go. They gave us recommendations of places to eat,... More

We stayed here at the end of Oct. Ideally situated for main sights and a short walk from the station. Do not be put off by first impressions of the outside of the building. It was a 14th century convent and is on the protected building register. An open hallway and stairway lead to 6 hotels. The only downside is... More

Cannot compain about anything, Location excellent 5 mins from the centre, close to the station. Rooms very clean and spacious, breakfast excellent. We asked for a recommendation of typical Tuscan restaurant to eat and were given 2, both excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel is on the 3rd floor and the only thing after a days sightseeing was the climb... More

We will definitely return to this hotel! First, some general information: The whole building contains several hotels; Merlini is on the top (third) floor with another hotel. It has about 10(?) rooms down a hall. The building has an open entryway from the street to the stairway for all of the hotels. Be aware that there is no elevator. Go... More

Is the first time in my life that at I write a review... But, the owner of the hotel is so kind that I didn't have any choice!!! The italian breakfast is a very sweety brekfast. My wife likes salty breakfast. She asked the owner, if he has something salty. The owner answered very politely that not. After 2 min,... More

Signore Rosario and his wife and son, and grandmother host you in the lovely, historic Merlini...close to the city center and railway, with a view of the duomo from many of the bedrooms. Terrazo tile, marble, gracious breakfast room newly refurbished, and beautifully tiled bathrooms are the newest additions to the place. The hallmark, though, of the experience is the... More
