After checking out this b & b and reading the reviews I was slightly concerned however, I do wonder what some people expect. Firstly this is a b & b and doesnt excatly what it says, it isnt a hotel, no 24 hour reception, late night drinking bar etc and for the location, rooms and breakfast it was superb. It... More

We spent three wonderful nights at the Corte di Re Artu' , an authentic and exclusive medieval residence. It was like visiting the past - we slept in a suite with a four-poster bed - I felt just like a queen! I can recommend the hotel for a romantic stay and for sightseeing tours of the city centre. The spacious... More

Corte di Re Artu is one of a group of 3 hotels all created with themed rooms as a selling point. The rooms are quite impressive (paint wise) in a quirky way and you can tell that whoever did the paintings was quite talented. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from Lucca itself and enjoys the ability to... More

We stayed here for two nights while vacationing in Italy. The building and especially our room was intriguing. We felt as if we had stepped back into mid-evil times with the beautiful rooms and grounds. It is a straight walk of only a few short blocks to the walls of the city of Lucca. The breakfast area and the breakfast... More

A wonderful "resort" atmosphere close to the walled city of Lucca. Beautiful grounds and swimming pool. In October, the tented breakfast area was just a little chilly (had to go back to the room to get a jacket). Room was excellent....large bed (ok, the mattress was a little soft and the springs very noisy). Nice sitting area and LOTS of... More

My fiancee and I stayed overnight in Lucca while traveling through Italy. After reading numerous reviews on Corte di Re Artu, we decided to chance it. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The room itself was beautifully appointed, and great thought and care clearly went into the design and decor. That said, the bath (one of the focal points of the room... More

The house is authentically old but extensiviely renovated with modern conveniences. The renovation preserved the exposed masonry in our spacious and extraordinarily charming third-floor suite. Corte di Re Artu is only 3 blocks from the city center through Porto San Jacopo, so you can walk to the very heart of Lucca in 5 minutes. Our host, Brunella was very sweet,... More

We stayed here along with the rest of our family for our wedding in Tuscany. We pretty much had most of the rooms booked and every one of them was fantastic. Ours was the biggest one on the top floor and it was huge, with an en suite bathroom as well as a free standing bath. The decor is great... More

Location in great, just 400 metres from Lucca ancient walls. The room (Suite Ginevra) was exactly as in the website pictures, very spacious and confortable, originally decorated (medieval style) and with accurated details. The heater was perfect, you can choose the temperature you prefer. The tub in the room is absolutely fantastic!!! bathroom is large and well equipped. There was... More

We stayed 2 nights with our two girls (aged 12& 8 yrs) at this lovely B&B which we booked directly with the property. I had really nice emails from Serena who unfortunately we never got to meet. Serena offered us the Mago Merlino suite with two extra beds for the girls. When looking at the website you realise it's not... More
