We were here as part of a day trip from Florence. We were only here for a short while - enough time to sample the pasta, cheese, wine, olive oil, etc. all made on the farm here. Oh my God it was fantastic. The location, the food, the wine. We will definitely return and maybe even stay on the farm.... More

We love this place. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Our room view was just out of this world :).... Most of staff was nice although there was a few not that friendly and willing to help you. We really want to come back here.

We came here on a day bus tour from florence and had a tour of the place along with a spectacular lunch. The wine and food were great, but I especially loved the olive oil! The landscape was breathtaking. Wen I think of Tuscany, I think of this place. We were very blessed to be able to come here and... More

I don't know if you can just drop in by yourself, but it's worth asking about. We arrived with 2 busses on the Walkabout Tour out of Florence: a one-day trip called Best of Florence. Great day. Best day of our whole week. I highly recommend the bus tour. Any way, the wines are wonderful and the cooking was memorable.... More

This lovely restaurant is nestled in the hills of the ancient town of San Gimignano and was a stopover for lunch during our tour of Tuscany. The food was superb -- fresh salad, pasta, ham and cheese. The wines were delicious from the white, the two reds to the grappa. The owners are warm and friendly as they invited you... More

5 of us came just for dinner from San Gimignano center and this was easily the best meal we had on a trip full of AMAZING food. I am so glad I ate a small lunch because we ate nearly 10 courses at dinner and every single one was amazing!!! Would come here every night if I could, there's no... More

How can you not love this place? Poggio Alloro is an organic working farm and vineyard in the Tuscan countryside overlooking San Gimignano. We originally chose to stay here because we wanted to stay at an Agriturismo, and unlike most Agriturismos, Poggio Alloro offers dinners for its guests using all farm-produced food and wine. We came back this year because... More

We first visited Fattoria Poggio Alloro in 2004 and since then we have returned four more times. We enjoy it so much, we took 11 members of our family including our children who are in 20's & 30's to stay here. They loved it! Fattoria Poggio Alloro is exactly what a Agriturismo experience should be, great views of the countryside... More

This was a very enjoyable stop on a tour of Tuscany. The place is located on hilltop in San Gimignano with breathtaking views. They produce their own wine and food for their restaurant. The food was delicious and the wine superb. We went on a tour of the grounds and ended with a fabulous lunch. It is family owned and... More
