I stayed in a single for three nights in November 2011 and very much enjoyed everything about the hotel with one small exception. The size of the room, the quality of the breakfast, the courtesy of the staff, the superb view of the city from my balcony--all first rate. Much appreciated also were the availability of BBC and CNN. The... More

We stayed here for two nights in August. The rooms were clean and reasonably priced. The walls were quite thin and you could hear noise from the corridor and neighbouring rooms. The Hotel is near the old city wall, just outside the old town. It is a 15-20min walk to the Piazza del Campo (Siena Square). If travelling via train,... More

Great hotel. Awesome views of the entire city. Great location. Helpful staff. They opened a bottle of wine for us and were very friendly. The balcony was a pleasant surprise and the entire hotle was great. Definitely recommend. More

We wanted to see Siena, as our daughter loved the 3 months she spent there while in college. We had 1 night at Hotel Minerva while on a 9-day trip pre-cruise. First the good: our room was huge, much larger than any of the other hotels we stayed at in France and Italy. We had a balcony looking over Siena,... More

Dear guest, thank you for you comment on this forum. For the parking, as we are in the centre the majority of parking are paying and not so many. In front of the hotel are communal parking, so you have to be lucky to find a place even if it allowed to stay only for one hour. Being so near... More

The room and bathroom are pretty typical of European hotels. THIN walls and you can hear literally everything going on above you and outside the door. Don't plan on sleeping in at all. There was a lot of hair on the floor, and the maid service is simply to make your bed -- they don't sweep or mop the floors... More

Dear guest, I'm sorry the room was not cleaned as it should have been done. If you had signalled it to the reception, we could have checked that your room was cleaned properly. I hope you will give us another chance if you will come back to visit Siena. More

Hotel Minerva is an older hotel but is very clean. Rooms were nice size-some with terraces, but others have large windows that open and overlook gardens and hills of the city. Beds were very comfortable. The front desk were friendly and helpful-especially Roberto. The location is great-sits at the entrance of one of the gates. A short walk uphill puts... More

Hotel Minerva provided us with outstanding service from the moment of our arrival till our departure five days later. We loved the view of the bay looking towards Napoli, the meals were excellent served in their restaurant, evenings on the terrace were enhanced by the warm breezes, delightful live music, conscious wait staff and relaxed atmosphere. Since our visit, I... More

My sister & I had one night in this hotel. We went to our room & it felt more like a prison. Our room was so small & musty. There was a double glass door, hidden behind a pair of grotty curtains & when opened revealed a large, locked roller shutter (garage door style). It was very unclean & very... More

Dear guest, I'm very sorry that the room was not of your satisfaction. As far as the laundrette service, if they closed for maintainance, they did not send an adv. to the hotels, so it is difficult for the colleague to be up dated on it. More

This is an older hotel on the edge of town that is quite nice. I had a standard room and it was huge. It looked recently renovated, and was very clean and comfortable. The bed was firm but comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and also clean. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast room was large... More

When we were first given a room on the ground floor i simply hated this hotel. ıt seemed odd with the tasteless lobby and a very simple room. We just left our luggage and headed to explore Siena. It is only a five minutes walk to the center. When we got back late at night i found out there were... More
