great view and surroundings!!! and the rooms were very pretty too. you'd want a car though, because it's a bit of a ways away from the main attractions in siena. the owner was also extremely helpful and very nice and the breakfast was good. we bought their olive oil and it probably is the best olive oil i think i've... My wife and I stayed in 4 locations in Tuscany one week each, late September 2011. This was our Siena choice and we were really happy with everything about Casale Virgili. The room and building were really comfortable and well designed. The view is like a calendar picture. Roberto was an ever-helpful and knowledgeable host, and the family who run... More

This is the perfect place to stay for exploring in Tuscany. Our family (my husband and I and our 2 teenagers) stayed for 7 nights. It is a collection of ensuite rooms in a big old farmhouse and is handy for driving to Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Arezzo, etc. and is about 10 minutes drive to Siena. We had use... More

We stayed here for a week while exploring Siena and Tuscany. The location is perfect -- easy access for car exploration everywhere and conveniently located to a bus to Siena on the days we wanted to stay around. The site itself is very beautiful -- many days we would have a restaurant lunch and just picnic for dinner on very... More

Myself and 3 friends stayed here during August and would recommend the place to anyone, it was fab! I had made the booking months before and had to make frequent changes due to people dropping out or people joining us but Roberto the manager was always very nice about it and was very friendly and helpful over email. When we... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights in September and I don't think I have a bad word to say about the place. It's located just outside of Siena but as we had a car this was no problem. When we wanted to visit Siena, Roberto directed us to a convenient free parking area. The pool area is... More

This is a relaxing location with a swimming pool over looking rolling hills (although a highway is very close to those hills). If you are looking for peace and quiet, then this place will suit you. It is OUTSIDE of Siena so you will definitely need a car to get back and forth. However, it's only about a ten minute... More

We just spent a night in this lovely BB, but we felt like being at home. The location is perfect for a visit to Siena, either by car or by bus. The room was modest but clean, which was just what we needed after a busy and tiring day discovering Tuscany. The view from the room was superb to the... More

We spent a very enjoyable 5 days at this beautiful b+b. The owners are a likable, real fair-dinkum Italians who bent over backwards to please us. Only 15 minutes to Siena by bus this place is well positioned. It has a lovely pool and outdoor facilities overlooking a beautiful Tuscan Valley. More

We were five people and we spent six nights in Casale Virgili last August. The triple room was large and all the rooms had access to a little kitchen with a fridge (special request must be done for cooking). The B&B has good views over the fields surrounding Siena and the swimming pool was great. Pick-nick areas are available also... More
