Tram number 2 will take you from the Basel train station to where the hotel is located and then you just have to cross the road. The Swissotel is good, room is bigger than other hotels in Basel. Service is good. The breakfast is also good. In the bathroom there is heating device to warm your towel, it was prefect! It is worth to go again!

Although this was a quick trip and only one night in Basel, the accomodations at the Swissotel were exceptional. The breakfast that was included was very good with fresh squeezed juices and a lot to choose from, not just fruit, cheese, and danish.

Stayed three nights here in a business room - excellent facilities, VERY clean, soft bed (twin, pushed together - beware the gap!), BBC1/2 and other English channels on the tv, wifi included in the room rate but otherwise VERY expensive.
