A very nice family run hotel (in the same family since three generations). Prefect location for skiers, clean. Our room had a completely renovated bathroom. Very reasonable price for Zermatt. They come and pick you up at the train station with a little electric car.

Hotel is located at a quieter end of the main road in Zermatt which allows for unobstructed views of the Matterhorn. Balcony room was above restaurant area which was fine but could imagine that might infringe on privacy during busier time of year. Clean, modern room and great breakfast. My husband and I would stay here again.

A perfect place to stay with my wife and friends for late spring skiing. After a few days of high winds, new snow for three days provided perfect spring skiing. Our room faced the Matterhorn, with lovely breakfasts and excellent coffee. Post-skiing, with great views from the terrace. We plan to stay at the Alpenrose again.

It was a good short stay for us. The room was basic but clean with a view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. A 10 min walk to the main station and Gornergrat Bahn. We enjoyed the stay and had great memories in Zermatt.

I have stayed here starting in the 1980's and has here just last year again. It is clean, the rooms are wonderfully appointed and the owner is very welcoming and helpful! My wife and I will stay here again and again

Alpenrose has nice clean rooms. Though I felt the room size is small, it's ok for short stay (like ours). The service is very good. Danielle and her team are supportive and helpful. The breakfast is very good. Its location is very near the the cable car going up to the ski area which is plus point.
