This was our first time skiing in Zermatt. The hotel Schweizerhof was the perfect place to stay.In the centre of the village and very close to the trains. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was our best weeks skiing yet!

Stayed here with 4 friends in March 2013. Excellent value package with skis/boots/lift pass and dine around package. Staff were all charming, polite and helpful without exception. I loved this hotel. Its central location (walkable from the train station) is a delight, as the last thing you want to do upon arrival is walk a marathon to your hotel, even if it also has a luggage service. We stayed for one night only to get the full benefit of our 7 day ski pass after staying in a self catered apartment nearby. The hotel is well located but needs renovation work. this is the third time we have been staying in this hotel and probably the last. friendly people at the reception, but from our room we could hear the sound of the elevator, the breakfast is no longer as before, the furniture is not maintained, there was mold on the wall... The Schweizerhof is a cousin of the better known Mont Cervin Hotel in Zermatt. From the outside the hotel looks from unassuming, but inside it's a warm and pretty wonderful place.
