Stayed 2 nights in the Small Twin attic room. All facilities available like shower/toilet,TV, fridge etc. . Room is small but charming. The name of the room says about the size. Nice area with a lot of restaurants, city zoo, close to all attractions. Friendly people in the hotel. more

Hotel Plantage is in the Plantage are of Amsterdam. That is the great part. It's quiet, non-touristy, full of great cafes and restaurant and really well connected. Nice hotel, very close to the center and all usual amusements. Friendly stuff, allowed us to leave the luggage after the check out. As our flight was in the evening it helps us a lot. We had some extra time to spend in the city. Surely will be back with the friends. more

Hotel Plantage very close to the Artis Zoo, just in front of it, and only 5 minutes walking distance from the Hortus Batanicus Park (hope that I wrote it correct ;-)) Not far from the Amsterdam Central Station, just 15 to 20 minutes walking distance, but we took the tram becouse of our small kids, otherwise we could walk. After climbing narrow/steep stairs with a bulky suitcase did not set the scene as it also took 20 mins to check-in,rooms very very small and no air flow so unbelieveably hot could not sleep first night at all,second day brought two electric fans to cool the room down.shower room old and looked dirty.asked for coffee facilities but did not appear... more

The room had quite old furnishing. The towels was changed once for the whole week. After taking a shower a big puddle of undrained water remained in the middle of the bathroom. Stayed here before and they have painted and recarpeted the stairs, (they were doing it whilst I was there). Stayed in the attic room which was grand except the shower didn't drain properly. Otherwise staff were friendly and tolerant as normal even though there were 12 of us on a stag do. Overall. Unpretentious accomodation and friendly and informative staff... more
