Stayed in this hotel for a one night business trip when Hotels were at a premium in Brussels. The decor was drab and in need of a freshen up, the bedclothes were old and musty. The Location is good, but a small amount of effort to tidy up the premises would vastly improve the Hotel.

I have just been forced to spend few nights in this Hotel during a seafood show and just this Hotel can keep me from ever going to Brussels again even my visit here is business related. The hotel is in a really nice place and the staff was so helpful, but the the rooms do not have a good maintenance (problem in the shower, frigobar does not working...) and the check-in time is bad: 3pm.

The staff here were incredibly rude to us during our stay here. When we first arrived we gave the man at the front desk our credit cards to pay for the bill. Staff was very helpful during the entire stay. Rooms are nice, kept clean and very quiet for being in the central areas of Brussels. The area itself is rather shady, with prostitution and crime being ripe on the street outside. Close proximity to Gare Nord (10 minutes by foot), walking distance to Grand Place (15 minutes) as well. Very friendly and helpful manager but doesn't make up for the ugly dust in the walls of the room, holes in the blankets and lousy wifi speed (always between 400-800kbps the entire week). The bathroom was clean and with a good shower.

Bad smell in the Hobby, rooms below average Booking service messy landing to a mistake but we landed to be guilty for not picking it up on the confirmation mail.. The resolution of the mistake was messy with suspicious procedures on payment and justification. Reception staff very aggressive reaching even the level of physical threat.

The best thing about Hotel Belmont was the location. Very central and close to Gare Nord. The rooms were decent sized, we were only there for 4 days so it was fine, the good sized bathroom was clean enough too.
