we've booked a room, ok it was standard, but we actually expected a bit more from a small elegant hotel brand. We arrived there with a bit difficult, and were initially told there was no place to leave the car, but a far way parking. We've noted in the reservation that we would arrive by car, so beware to put... More

We have just returned from a spring break to Bruges staying at De Castillion Hotel ..Our stay was more than comfortable......I had the best sleep I have had in a while! Our room, on the first floor was spacious, very clean and lived up to (my high) expectations. We found the staff to be both friendly and helpful. If we... More

The standard room we originally ordered was very small and at the top of the building. After two minutes in the room we decided to upgrade, as to enter the bed ,both of us would of had to get in one side ,the bathroom was small and only had a shower,no bath.It cost us an additional 165 Euros for two... We certainly appreciated your feedback however, needless to say, this leaves us with a very bad feeling. The room originally assigned was indeed a small room with a shower but then again… the description of the room itself when booking is as follows: Small Budget Room with shower. Therefor we do not understand the relevancy of mentioning this as we... More

Just returned from Brugge with my wife. Paid a total of 300Euros for Eurostar from London and two nights here. Very clean hotel and a nice breakfast. Hot bacon, eggs, vast selection of cold meats, bread, jams etc. The location here is great for all sights. No more than a 15 minute stroll to most attractions and still quiet in... More

We are proud to read that you loved the room on the first floor, especially since we have done renovation works. It also brings us pleasure reading that you enjoyed our restaurant; that has recently won a 'Lifetime Achieving Award' with. We hope you will return soon. More

Be careful: The Hotel De Castillion puts very attractive offers on its website. When you try to book them, the booking system suddenly shows double price or more. When you send an email complaining about that, they tell you it is your fault and you misunderstood the price. This ist not the way a 4 star hotel should act. More

Stayed in early Jan. Good points are the location and the Art Deco lounge which is small but very impressive. Previous reviewers mentioned that the rooms were small so we paid extra for a deluxe room and were assigned room 3. This room was at the end of a dark shabby corridor with artex walls and no natural light and... More

Start was very promissing - charming hotel, nice weather, good cuisine and anticipation of the New Year eve (we arrived Dec 30th planning to stay for 2 nights). But personnel attitude was really nusty probably due to the fact that we were with our two kids. The hotel is tiny and most likely they simply do not welcome guests with... More

I was amazed to read the glowing reviews of this hotel. Our room was situated on the top floor, 42 steps to the top and no lift, it was hard going and when i enquired about another room lower down the receptionist asked me; 'what do you do at home'? "I live in a bungalow" I replied. The rooms have... More

We stayed here to bring in the New Year, charming hotel, charming and beautiful staff, great breakfast, great location; if we stayed again though we'd have to upgrade as the standard rooms are teeny, tiny, and if you're nearing 6ft tall you'll need to be very flexible,,,, More
