This is a great place to stay when in Monchique. Susie is very friendly and has created a charming peaceful haven. Beds were comfortable, our bedroom had a lovely view through the trees, across the valley to the hills. It was very quiet, free wifi in our room. We had a very tasty evening meal, and the best breakfast we've... More

We were a group of 5 and it was here that we started out on the week long cycle tour . Susie was a fabulous host, and the breakfasts were beautiful- just what we needed - a hearty but delicious breakfast to get us through the day on our bikes. Loved the swimming pool, and really enjoyed the comfortable and... More

Located just outside the commercial centre of Monchique - a hill-town in the Algarve - the Albergeria Bica-Boa is both low-key and full of character. The Irish-born proprietor, Sue, greeted us warmly, and took us to our rooms, showing us the public area and gardens. Along the way, we passed numerous artifacts, including some very fine rock specimens, as well... More

This is a nice little inn with simple but comfortable rooms. The lady owner was most welcoming as were the other staff. Fantastic breakfast and tasty food at dinner (chicken piri-piri). Dont waste money on the puddings though - not up to normal portugese standards.

Stayed at Bica Boa for 3 nights over Easter 06. Nice rooms, good food, a nice setting in a decent little town - and overall a sense of calm & peace right thru the place. Susia Cassidy, the manager, runs the place very well & the dog will have had her pups now so maybe there will be pups to... More
