The place has a fantastic view. The area of Monchique is a magical place with lots of green as a contrast to the dry coast of Algarve. The hotel is in a good locvation to explore neghbouring mountain villages and areas.

Last October, 2011 two of my sons, adults, and I spent a week in this very good location. When at first we did not get a suitable room for the three of us, they very kindly arranged two twin-bedded rooms for us to occupy, at no extra cost. These were neat and tidy and well cleaned, and certainly not damp..... More

Great location but let down bu poor service, out dated rooms, damp and no other guests. I wouldn't stay there again unless it got a make over, new management and more guests to add a little atmosphere.

This hotel is currently up for sale and I can see why. When we arrived the place was completely deserted. We rang the bell – no answer. We only stayed here for 2 nights, but would love to stay longer. The hotel built on the mountain slope, you can see the sea some 30miles away! We stayed here for 4 days with our friends and loved the hotel. Great views of the sea from the mountain top and our balcony. The restaurant was excellent (try the pork with garlic, awesome!).
