Not at all what i expected. Room was worn, dirty and smelled like sewer. Front desk staff not apologetic, were rather rude. I can not believe staff was unaware of the mal odor. Staff is polite and kind, but most have difficulties speaking English. Overall clean hotel, but kinda old. Breakfast is not good at all, but block table dinner offera nice choices. Location is in the heart of Ponta Delgada so its great. Poor gym and sauna services, unfortunately.

Our stay The Avenida Hotel was very enjoyable. A clean, quiet environment with everything a traveller needs, all in a super location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned promptly every day. Free parking (limited availability). I just wish the WiFi worked a little better, and wasn't limited to the lobby.

This hotel is located perfectly near the harbour with an ocean view from our room.The management and staff were first class and most helpfull in every way.We were within walking distance of most resturants and shoping.The restaurant,food,and contenental breakfast were excelant,Iwould have no problem staying there again.
