4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2013 NEW

I really want to give it 5 stars!!! We stayed here a week and were so happy we chose this classic hotel over the other two leading places. We were right in the center of town and close to everything. Five stars for the staff, the location and the common breakfast/lounge/business floor. Reception helped at every turn, from making out... More

The hotel is an old building that has been renovated and is very nice. The location is very good to see Aveiro. But the rooms are not sound prof, so even in the second floor you can hear all the noise from the street. Also the tv channel selection in the room is very limited (about 10 channels). The breakfast... More

The hotel is located in the most center of Old Town and main things to be seen in Aveiro. They have different kind of rooms, smaller and bigger, but every room with a double bed. Breakfast is very good, located in a big room and throught the windows you have a nice view of the main channel of Aveiro. Aveiro... More

Excellent location, in the city centre, with excellent views. Rooms are rather small but nice common reading and TV rooms and internet area in the 1st floor. Breakfast room with gorgeous views over the channels. Buffet breakfast is what you expect for a 4-star hotel. A pity they do not offer free parking if you arrive by car.

We spend one night in this hotel in our way to Lisbon. No parking available in the hotel but there is an underground parking nearby. Rooms were rather small but clean and a modern style. Lounge area is also very nice. Breakfast was fine with lots of fresh fruits and homemade orange juice. For the price we paid this was... More

We spent 1 night at the hotel during our holidays. The visit of Aveiro was kinda unplanned and we booked the room en route.Hotel´s central location is great for exploring the city, however it might be a bit noisy, as the hotel is very close to a big roundabout. There´s no own parking place either, however the parking garage is... More

Stayed for two nights last week. Greeted with a welcome smile at reception, we were to early for check in, so left our bags at reception, returned late afternoon, again greeted with nice welcome, room was on the second floor overlooking the river. The room was a bit on the small size but very comfortable. Bathroom was excellent, looked as... More

I picked the hotel for its location in the center, which is great. We had 2 rooms with view of the canal, old furniture and decoration and small bathrooms. 4 stars and no fridge in the room (no place for it I think). These days and in Portugal, you can expect more for the prices they ask in july. Very... More

Stayed for one night in early June 2012, and had trouble finding it as the guide book I was using listed it under its previous name (Arcade). There was no parking here but reception was polite and helpful in showing where I could park the motorcycle. Like the rest of the hotel, the room was recently renovated, with dual-aspect windows... We just spent 4 nights (supposed to have been 3 but there was a rail strike on departure day...ah, Portugal!). Room was of a good size with unnoteworthy furniture but extremely clean. Extra large modern tub in the bathroom, but watch your footing (they should consider some rubber mats). Staff were unerringly courteous if not overly well-informed but the tourist... More
