We stayed here one night and were impressed about the building, room and staff at the reception. We had dinner here, but that was a little bit disappointing. The food was ok, but not more than that. The chief waiter was watching football (Europa League final Chelsea-Benfica) and forgot the clients. Two nice lady's did a good job though.

Very close to the city center - 5 minutes walking, so it's well located. The buiding was an hospital built in 1842, but renewed, while keeping its original traces. Rooms are very spacious, modern, nice and clean. The central area is now for the restaurant, with plenty of light. Breakfast was good, as expected.

The facilities were excellent. We loved the outdoor pool and area. The frontdesk and bar staff were professional and very helpful. We were able to walk to see the sights of Viseu with ease. We did seem to have a bit of a challenge to find a place to have a nice dinner but overall we were happy with everything.

I had a great short break at this hotel and it is what it says "charming".
