4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2013 NEW

Stayed at the Casa Vela for 6 nights in June. The Guesthouse is situated in a very quiet part of Cascais but It's only 5-10 minutes walk from Cascais bay and town centre, with all the pubs and restaurants. (some of the best restaurants in Cascais are even closer) the rooms are modern and spacious. (I've read other reviews complaining... More

Charming guest house with beautiful garden areas and lovely staff. Ideal for exploring Cascais and the surrounding area. Easy walk to beach areas and restaurants. Room was good in size and had enough storage. Breakfast was nice and terrace pretty when the sun shone. Nothing major. Slightly tricky to find on the Cascais one-way system and bathroom area could be... More

We stayed in 'Brazil' room at this lovely guest house for 5 days. It really is a superb place to get away from it all. Room, breakfast, gardens and pool and even the honesty bar were above our expectations.

Amazingly friendly and helpful, this is a fantastic place to spend a few days. The rooms are really comfortable, the lounge area very relaxing and the gardens well maintained and interesting. Each morning you'll find a great selection for breakfast; scrambled eggs, fresh breads and jams... and great cakes! The best bit was the attention and care given to Ollie... More

I stayed here for a night with my mum,she had previously stayed here with my dad and loved it! We couldn't only get a suite room at the more expensive price, the room was called 'Brazil'! The room it self was a bit disappointing,it had a small kitchen bit with two breakfast stools, rather than a usual suite with a sofa... More

We stayed here for three nights. My husband led a group of 20 people for a two week stay in Portugal. This fuest house was a favorite. JeanPaul and his staff are courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the center of the city and close enough to... More

We stayed here last July for four nights and we were very impressed with the accommodation. We stayed in the cafe room which was less fancy than most of the rooms on the website but it was comfortable and quiet. We had no balcony or view but for the last four days of our holiday and the ample outdoor space... More

We stayed as Casa Vela for two nights - accommodations were lovely and we enjoyed being away from the hubhub of the city center which was within walking distance. We felt welcomed immediately upon arrival and after a tour of the guest house, were given great recommendations for restaurants and things to see within walking distance. Would highly recommend Casa... More

We stayed 12 nights at this lovely place. The team was very very helpful and such kindly with our 1 year son, he was like a little prince. The breakfast is good with eggs or pastais do belem or homemade cake. The garden with the swimming pool area is relaxing. We were 5 nights in the Brasil Suite & 7... More
